Vincenzo (Korean: 빈센조; RR: Binsenjo) is a South Korean television series 2021 featuring Song Joong-ki with Jeon Yeo-been, Ok Taec-yeon, Kim Yeo-jin and Kwak Dong-yeon. It was broadcast on tvN from 20 February 2021 to 2 May 2021, every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 (KST); Each episode was released on Netflix in South Korea and internationally after its broadcast.

Synopsis

At the age of eight, Park Joo-hyung (Song Joong-ki) was adopted by an Italian family and lived in Italy. He later joins the mob and is adopted by Don Fabio, the boss of the Cassano mob. He was christened "Vincenzo Cassano" and became an Italian lawyer, mafia recipient and Don Fabio's right-hand man. After Fabio's death, Paolo, Fabio's biological son and the new leader of the Cassano family, tries to kill Vincenzo.

Number of spectators

An average rating of 7.7% was registered nationwide for the first episode of the series, making it the third-highest premiere rating for all weekend drama in the network and the fifth highest rating. Premiere of the best chain of Hospital Playlist 2.

Production

In May 2020, director Kim Hee-won and screenwriter Park Jae-bum collaborated on Vincenzo. In July 2020, it was reported that Song Joong-ki and Jeon Yeo-been were considering the offer to play in the series; while Ok Taec-yeon was confirmed for the cast. Song and Jeon confirmed their appearance the following month. The drama serves as a reunion project for Kwak Dong-yeon and Kim Yeo-jin, who starred in the drama My Strange Hero from 2018. This drama also reunites Ok Taec-yeon and Jeon Yeo-been, who worked together on Save Me.
