Boys Over Flowers (Korean: 꽃 보다 남자; Hanja: 꽃 보다 男子; RR: Kkotboda Namja; MR: Kkotpoda Namja) is a 2009 South Korean television series based on the Japanese manga series from Boys Over Flowers ( 花より男子, Hana Yori Dango) by Yoko Kamio. The series is about a working-class girl who joins in the life of a wealthy group of high school students. It has received high ratings from South Korean audiences and is popular throughout Asia. Starring Ku Hye-sun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon and Kim So-eun, 25 episodes were released on KBS2 from January 5 to March 31, 2009. Lee Min-ho played the full role of the F4 leader compared to his role in Mackerel Run which earned him a foreign reputation. It is a remake of the Meteor Garden Theater in Taiwan.

Jan Di (Ku Hye Sun) is an average girl whose family owns a dry cleaning shop next to the famous Shin Hwa luxury school. After rescuing a boy who jumped off the roof of Shin Hwa High School, Jan Di was admitted to the school on a scholarship.

However, when Jan Di's friend, Oh Min Ji (Lee Si Young), suddenly brings ice cream to the F4 leader's shoes, she is forced to declare war on the F4 leader, Goo Joon Pyo (Lee Min Ho).

What will happen, though, when you fall in love with someone from F4 and Goo Joon Pyo starts to feel the same way? Will the love triangle disrupt F4 and change their lives forever?
